FAQs
Why would someone hire 1RP?
Any company that would like to have cost and timeline reductions in their disaster recovery process will benefit from getting such claims and jobs closed faster. And they will see a reduction in their overall loss runs.

When should 1RP be hired or engaged?
Ideally, we would be hired prior to any disaster event or occurrence as we help in the preparation of the recovery work. But we can be and are hired at any point in a recovery timeline, so if you have recovery work in progress, we can still come in and help. But for the next time, we would like to prepare with you how to make the entire process easier for the next time.

Can someone hire 1RP in the middle of a loss?
Yes. This happens quite frequently that someone finds out about our services or they get recommended to them after a loss event has occurred and work has been started. In such cases, we assess the status of the situation and get involved get scopes, schedules, workflows and data tracking all in good order for the best possible outcome.

Who covers 1RPs fees?
We contract with and get paid by the building owner and/or operator. When our work is part of an insurance claim, our fees have always been covered under the policy. We work with the broker and adjuster to help make sure that happens. In any case, we provide a report on our services to always show our ROI to our clients as we only need to be working where we add significant value.

How does 1RP work if there are multiple parties on a loss recovery job (e.g., owner/tenant, etc.)?
We work with all parties involved and make sure we have proper separations and segregations of data and that that data gets to the correct parties. We do that while seamlessly managing the workflow to provide the best continuity and efficiency while helping those contractors document in accordance with the needs of the multiple parties.

Is 1RP a general contractor?
No, we perform a Construction Management function. We do not subcontract any work. Our clients have direct relationships with their vendors, whom we manage on their behalf. However, we can recommend contractors and professional service providers for owners to then contract directly if necessary and who we would then manage.

Is 1RP a Public Adjuster?
No, we are an Owner’s Representative firm. We manage workflow and dataflow. We do not interpret insurance policies, nor do we take a percentage of the loss.
